My Story
Early in my childhood, I started to play the piano and swim competitively. Even though I was occasionally fearful of the cold, Saturday-morning swim practice or the weekly piano lesson, I enjoyed them dearly. They taught me to set goals, accept criticism, and move past my failures. I continued to swim and play the piano until the end of high school, and although those weekly lessons have gone, I still find time to sight-read a good melody from a movie or swim a few laps in the neighborhood pool.

In 6th grade, I stumbled upon VEX in a robotics class. I immediately fell in love with the process of thinking, building, and testing. I thought to myself, "This is awesome!" I wanted to build robots for the rest of my life. By the time I had finished high school, I had done over 6 years of competitive robotics, and my passion grew year after year. As the robots I worked on got bigger and more advanced, I not only found an interest in electronics and programming but also in leadership and team collaboration.
I owe it to my parents. Had it not been for them, I wouldn't be able to stay so late at the robotics building after school, crafting my ideas away, or go to all those piano & swimming lessons every week, or purchase the uncountable Arduino and robotics kits over the years. Thank you mom and dad.

I am fortunate to have grown up in this environment, for it's what I will attempt to cultivate for the rest of my life:
1. To fill the silences with music
2. To preserve my health with consistent exercise
3. To stimulate my engineering interests with curiosity
4. And to simply always do my very best, every day
